How the score is made

The score comes from how fast and how reliably your router answers your iPhone: latency, jitter and packet loss, which decide whether a video call holds. Each point is the median of a few seconds of measurements, never a single one. A room needs at least five points to get a score; below that, the app says to walk a little longer. The room score is the median of its points, and the home score is the median of its rooms, so a small dead office is not drowned by a large living room.

Your router does not answer

Some routers ignore echo requests, and guest networks often isolate devices from the router. Check that you are on your main Wi-Fi network, not a guest one, and that iOS allows Roomwave on the local network: Settings, Privacy & Security, Local Network.

The rooms are split wrongly

On an iPhone with LiDAR, rooms come from the walls the camera saw. A missing wall merges two rooms; a passage seen as a wall splits one. Open a room and rename it: give it the name of another room on the same floor and the two are merged. Walking slowly along the walls gives RoomPlan a cleaner plan.

I moved the router

Open the survey and tap Remeasure. Walk again, save, and the before and after open side by side, room by room. A remeasure is a new version of the same home: it does not use one of your three free homes. It has to happen on the same Wi-Fi network; somewhere else, it is a new home.

I lost Roomwave+

Nothing is removed when a subscription ends. Every survey stays visible, comparable and shareable, and every home can still be remeasured; only surveying a fourth home asks for Roomwave+ again. Use Restore purchases on the Roomwave+ screen after reinstalling.

Managing a subscription

Subscriptions live in your Apple account: Settings, your name, Subscriptions. Cancelling there stops renewal at the end of the current period.
