Spent is what you logged plus the recurring charges whose day has passed or that you marked paid. Still to come is the recurring charges of the month after today. Projected is both. A monthly subscription is counted on its day each calendar month, with the 31st falling back to the last day of shorter months, never every 30 days.
What is left is computed after the charges still to come this month, on purpose: it is the amount you can actually spend. The bar shows spent in full colour and still to come in a lighter tone.
The reader looks for a total line, a date, a shop name and the VAT; for a letter, a QR-bill and a due date. Faded or crumpled paper reads poorly: flatten it, fill the frame, and type what stays empty. A due date that could not be found is flagged before you save.
Widgets are refreshed by iOS on its own schedule. Ongoing prepares a week of updates in advance so the day changes at midnight, and opening the app refreshes every widget at once.
Nothing is removed when a subscription ends. Every expense and every recurring charge stays visible and editable; only creating a sixth recurring charge asks for Ongoing+ again, and premium themes fall back to Deep Harbor. Use Restore purchases on the Ongoing+ screen after reinstalling.
Subscriptions live in your Apple account: Settings, your name, Subscriptions. Cancelling there stops renewal at the end of the current period.
Check that notifications are allowed for Ongoing in iOS Settings, and that Focus modes do not silence them. Reminders fire at the hour set in the app Settings, 9 in the morning by default.
