Why does the ingredient matter?

Only when you cross between weight and volume. A cup of honey weighs nearly three times a cup of cocoa powder, so grams per cup depends entirely on what is in the cup. Converting grams to kilograms, or cups to tablespoons, needs no ingredient at all, and the app greys the field out to say so.

The number differs from my scale

Published densities are averages. Packed flour can weigh 20% more than sifted, and how you fill a cup matters as much as what you fill it with. Weighing your own is a Pro feature for exactly this reason: measure your cup once, and every later conversion uses your number.

A line of my recipe was not converted

Lines without a recognisable quantity and unit are left exactly as written, on purpose. A recipe with lines missing is worse than one not converted, because you can no longer follow it.

Managing a subscription

Subscriptions live in your Apple account: Settings, your name, Subscriptions. Cancelling there stops renewal at the end of the current period. Everything that converts stays free and keeps working.
